Springtime Calls for Rosé Bubbles & Rose Dresses

Since when did it become trendy to drink Rosé? Gosh I really hate when I enjoy things that are classified as “basic.” But I can’t help it in this case. Rose is freaking delicious. Especially when it’s sparkling. Because when that warm springtime air finally makes its debut, there are very few adult beverages that refresh and rejuvenate my day-drinking soul like perfectly sweet and crisp Rosé bubbles.

This past weekend Chris and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary at the beautiful Terrenea Resort in Racho Palos Verdes. Truth: this resort is insanely expensive. So thank God for credit card points and a little game we’ve come to know as “churning.” We can actually “ball on a budget” with this game and it really just feels so good.

But what would a “free” resort stay mean if we drank $16 cocktails and $20 glasses of wine all weekend long? Diddly squat. So we did what any financially responsible couple would do. We brought our own booze to the classy and oh-so exquisite oceanfront resort. And since no celebration is complete without some bubbly, we packed my favorite flute filler- Rotari Rose.

Rotari Rose is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that are aged for 2 years. It’s a well-balanced brut that actually sips better than many $80 bottles of Rose I’ve tasted. It’s like really, really tasty. And I’ll admit; I’m no no wine expert - that is for sure. But I do have 3 trips to Napa and about 100 wine tastings under my belt...so you should just trust me on this.

Since we’re on the topic of Rose, can I get an amen on the awesomeness of all the rose colored clothing this season? From dresses to jackets to shoes and shades, Rose is the hotness right now in the world of fashion. I’m all about it too. So soft and feminine, it can make even us not so lady-like kinda gals look like a million bucks.

But because I refuse to be too prim-and-proper while I’m still young and ahem, hip...I just had to throw some funky booties in the mix. And in my opinion, rose and snakeskin is just a match made in fashion heaven.
